Which fizz makes the perfect welcome for your guests?
Pol Roger Cuvẻe Sir Winston Churchill
If you want to make a strong first impression, then look no further. Pol Roger created their Prestige Cuvẻe in homage to Sir Winston Churchill. This robust champagne will be sure to warm the cockles and get the party started.
Composed exclusively of grapes sourced from Grand Crus Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards which were already under vine during Churchill’s lifetime, this is a fizz to get the banter flowing nice and early.
Did I hear you say lunch?
Denis Race Chablis 1er Cru ‘Montmains’ 2014
The Race Family are famed for producing bright and stylish wines. This wine would be spot on served as an aperitif or with cold meats. The 2014 is packed full of flavour and aroma, with hints of citrus, peach and characteristically mineral notes from the limestone soil that was once bathed in sunlight. This is the ideal, refreshing opener for a long, leisurely lunch.
Morgon Cote du Py Jean Foillard 2014
Perfect for when a white-out calls for wine. Superbly drinkable, this wine leaves you wanting more, which is why we suggest you buy it in magnums. Grown on the side of a mountain, in fact an old volcano, the crumbling schist soil gives Gamay a distinctive flavour. This is not your typical Beaujolais, yes Gamay is the grape, but it is made in the style of a top quality Burgundy. This is a delicious drop with hints of strawberries, cranberries and vanilla.
Sanguis Syrah Pilgrim 2012
Snow, steak and Sanguis, life couldn’t get better right now. This full bodied, yet refined Syrah will ensure you have a memorable night. Figs, cassis, olives, milk chocolate, black cherries, have we tempted you enough yet? Hand crafted by wine maker Matthias Pippig from the Bien Nacido vineyard, the California based Sanguis brand now carries cult status and is a sure bet for impressing guests.
To kick start the apres ski, Richard Dawes Fine Wines will put together a package for you, taking into account your personal preferences.
